Background
At the Board of County Commissioner (BOCC) Jan. 28 meeting staff was directed to draft additional conditions for data centers as part of a proposed text amendment. Staff presented a draft text amendment on Feb. 10 and was subsequently directed by the BOCC to return with additional options for further discussion. On March 10, staff presented a range of options for consideration and was directed to solicit feedback from the Planning Commission (PC).
Discussion
During a PC work session on March 18, staff recommended that the PC review and discuss the proposed text amendment and submit comments via email by April 2. Staff compiled the submitted comments and presented them to the PC on April 21. Following discussion, the PC voted to forward all comments and recommendations to the BOCC for consideration.
