Background
The Department of Parks & Recreation oversees management of Chesapeake Hills Golf Course (CHGC) and offers the sale of goods and services approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) through the Revenue and Fee Policy. Alcohol sales are included among the approved offerings at the golf course and require a liquor license. Alcohol has been sold at Chesapeake Hills Golf Course since Calvert County Government purchased the course and remains an expected amenity within the golfing community.
Discussion
A Maryland Liquor License is a permit to sell or serve alcoholic beverages in the state. This license is required for CHGC to be able to provide alcoholic beverages to patrons of the facility. The 2025 Liquor License will expire June 20, 2026.
