Background
In 2008, the Department of Public Safety obtained a Comprenhensive Master Plan for Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) services in Calvert County. Since then, there have been many changes to include population growth and the addition of the Career EMS division. To support the changing landscape of Fire, Rescue and EMS services the Department of Public Safety solicited for a company to provide an updated assessment and comprehensive plan.
Discussion
Mission Critical Immersive Training (Mission CIT) was selected to assess various aspects of the current system to include staffing, training, management, facilities, communications, operations, apparatus, records management and funding and accounting. Mission CIT has agreed to present to the Board of County Commissioners to provide information on the assessment process and the final project deliverables.
